OUR PROGRAM
Eastbay Netball Club upholds a supportive and encouraging selective environment to help aspiring netball players reach their full potential. Individuals may register to trial or be invited to trial for selection.
We are a senior club with teams in the Under 17 level who play in the WNNA competition at Jells Park, Waverley and teams in the Open division who play at the State Netball Centre in Parkville.
Our specialist coaches focus on the skills, strategies and tactics players need to grow for the next level in their netball journey.
We attract leading talent from both a coaching and playing perspective.
Eastbay has a proud history of developing players who go on to play at higher levels of competition.
SELECTION TRIALS
Trials are held in October for the following calendar year. Supplementary trials may be held mid-year. Trial dates will be posted on our club's Instagram during September.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Eastbay Rep Netball Club has a philosophy of embracing respect towards the players and offering quality netball education from qualified and highly talented coaches.
Success alone does not make a team great until it is paired with effective coaching. Coaching runs deeper than wins and losses, it also includes reaching athletes on an individual level.
Coaches who focus on developing a positive coaching relationship with their athletes ensure success beyond their performance on the court.
Our coaching goal is always to balance rationale and logic with empathy and emotional awareness.
The selection of our coaches has a huge impact on the culture of our club. Something we take enormous pride in is being able to bring on board coaches who not only have a high level experience, but those who bring a variety of skill sets to share with our players.
WAVERLEY COMPETITION
Our Under 17 teams play weekly on Wednesdays at Waverley Night Netball Association in the representative competition at Jells Park.
PARKVILLE COMPETITION
Our Open teams all compete in the Parkville competition on a Tuesday night at the State Netball Centre.
TOURNAMENTS
There is the opportunity to participate in tournaments throughout the season to support team bonding and exposure to playing levels across the state.
Tournaments are typically held on Sundays. The number of tournaments entered varies from year to year.
Eastbay Netball Club is a part owner and key contributor to the Wilson Storage Southern Saints Netball Club. This provides our players the ideal pathway to further their careers in the Victorian Netball League.
